Annie just called and said she had been moved from the hospital into the Regimental Hold Element (RHE). She will have approximately 9 days to continue physical therapy, have study privileges and gym time to help strengthen her upper body since she hasn't been able to exercise for a month. If all goes as planned, she will then be placed with her new Recruit Company (Yankee 183) next Thursday with a new graduation date of October 15th.
She is very nervous - afraid her body isn't ready yet, which I know is natural. I tried to cheer her up. She does have SR Hall with her as they have been in the hospital together, so hopefully that will help her. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers!
We love you Annie!
Love, Mommy, Daddy, Harrison, Grandma, Gabby, Baxter and the chickens! lmao
Annie's Journey in the USCG
July 24, 2010
This blog was created for my beautiful baby girl, Annie who is about to leave on her long awaited journey into the United States Coast Guard.
It is with both sadness and joy that I am creating this blog so that family and friends can follow her journey.
Sadness because she is my baby girl and I will miss her terribly! Joy because I know this is something she has wanted to do with her life and I have no doubt that she will succeed! In fact, she will excel! Annie is a very determined young woman and when she sets her mind to do something, watch out. She strives for perfection and that will only enhance her performance and journey while in the USCG.
